NEW HEADQUARTERS OF THE TUNISO-LIBYAN BANK B.T.L
The foundation, support and reinforced concrete structure works for the two basements of the new headquarters of the Tunisian-Libyan Bank “BTL” were carried out using a foundation system combining CFA piles, crossed beams and a raft.
The CFA piles, with a diameter of 800 mm, were installed at a depth of 14 meters. They are connected to each other by crossed beams and a 30 cm thick raft, ensuring a uniform distribution of loads. The excavations were supported by Lutetian walls, composed of 800 mm diameter CFA piles, also driven to a depth of 14 meters, and reinforced by sprayed concrete with a thickness varying between 10 and 15 cm.
The structure of the two basements was built in reinforced concrete, including peripheral walls, posts and beam slabs, ensuring the necessary stability and resistance for these two basement levels.
